Teacher – Grades 1-5 ADST (0.2 FTE)

Flex Academy is a JK-12 brick-and-mortar school which is a division of Heritage Christian Online School located in Kelowna, BC. In this Christ-focused, campus-based program, we are combining the best of classroom experience with the versatility of online tools to develop a hybrid model of education that makes education as expansive and flexible as possible.

The Position

Flex Academy has an opening for a Grade 1-5 Teacher for the 2026-27 school year! This is a part-time (0.2 FTE) position. Flex Academy teachers educate students within a flexible educational model and support their academic, spiritual, and social-emotional growth with a focus on individualized education.

Position Details:

• Grades 1-5 ADST
• 0.2 FTE position at 8 hours per week.
• 2026/27 school year

As Foundations Teacher, your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Deliver quality instruction for both academic and spiritual growth of student (including use of digital curriculum)
• Plan, teach, assess and report in applicable subject areas, while maintaining good classroom management
• Collaborate with other departments as necessary
• Plan field trips and participate in school and staff meetings, and parents meetings
• Maintaining daily communication with students, families and staff
• Actively participate as member of staff team
