We believe that education is most meaningful when it is rooted in our identity in Christ and leads us into deeper relationship with Him.
Hebrews describes Jesus as the “author and perfector” of our faith. What we see when we begin to discover the world around us, is that He is the author and perfector of so many things – the design of a cell, the mathematical sequences that are coded into nature, the nuances and variations of languages. We would be remiss to discover and engage with all of this and not have the Creator, Maker, Perfector to draw upon and point to.
Indeed, just as children’s brains and hearts and bodies grow and need support and care along the journey, so their spirits need care, education, and community in order to thrive. At our school, these parts of who we are don’t need to be separated – our children’s hearts and spirits can learn alongside their minds.
Christian education, at its best, isn’t just a safe place for a child to grow up. It’s an environment where each child is seen as who they are in Christ and drawn deeper into discovering the purposes and passions that God has put inside of them. Here, Jesus can be that author and perfector at every chapter of a child’s journey.
